Shuey’s Life

It’s warm outside, the weather is pretty nice, and I’m trying to think of somewhere else I would rather be besides sitting here working today.  I really want to be at the beach.  Normally we would go to the beach every year, sometimes twice a year and stay on a remote little island off the coast.  Last year my work schedule didn’t allow me to take any time off, except for the two weeks I got at the 4th of July, but I wasn’t fighting that holiday crowd, so we were only able to take a quick weekend trip.  This year we were planning on taking a week long trip to the beach, but the way it’s looking, we won’t even get to go for the weekend.

I’ll be daydreaming about the beaches I would love to visit instead.  I’m making a list of the places in Hawaii I would like to go, in case I ever hit the lottery or something.  Oh yeah, don’t I have to play the lottery to win it?  That’s just a minor setback.  I’ve looked at the Hanalei Bay Resort.  It looks like such a pretty place, and I would really like to take a trip to Hawaii.  I’m sure I’ve mentioned that many times, but lately I’ve been thinking about Hawaii more and more.

I have a few friends who live there.  One of them rides motorcycles as well, and he promised to give us a nice motorcycle tour if we ever get to visit.  We wouldn’t even have to rent bikes.  He agreed to let us use one of the 5 he owns.  That’s one time I wouldn’t mind riding two up.  The passenger definitely gets to see more sites!
