Father’s Day Weekend
What can I say? Father’s Day definitely didn’t go as we had planned this weekend. There were no gifts or nice dinners out. Instead Hubby and his dad spent most of the weekend trying to figure out what they’re going to do to provide for our families. Hubby’s dad worked right along side him, and in turn he’s lost his job as well.
Thankfully neither one of our dads care too much about material things, and they were just happy to spend time with their kids. I’ll actually be spending the evening with my dad tonight to make up for the fact that we couldn’t spend time together this weekend.
Maybe next year we’ll be in a position again to buy them the nice gifts we wanted to get them this year, and if we are I’ll definitely go out of my way to make up for it with bigger and better gifts.
I’d seriously like to order them both a Rolex from www.bestoftime.com. My dad used to have an awesome Rolex that he loved, and my sister and I ended up playing with it one day until we broke it. I can only imagine how it’d make him feel to receive a new one from me. I can dream can’t I? Oh, and if I can afford one next year I’ll definitely get him one. Normally I’d be skeptical of making such a large purchase online, but bestoftime.com has an A+ rating with the BBB. They also provide a 3 year warranty and free shipping, so it’s an idea I’ll keep in the back of my mind.
Oh who am I kidding? The situation we’re stuck in right now requires dreaming about buying nice things (even though I’ve never been a material kind of person) just to keep pushing on. At least I know no matter what my family is still here with us, and they’re worth more than any Rolex I could ever buy.
