Shuey’s Life

I’m a little upset tonight because today didn’t go as I expected it to.  See when I went to the doctor last week she decided to schedule us for another ultrasound because the tech wasn’t able to get a complete spinal image on the last one.  My doctor decided we needed another ultrasound so she could be  sure the spine was fully developed, and she decided to send us to Anmed for a 3D ultrasound instead of a regular 2D at Easley.

We got up this morning and drove well out of our way to Anderson all excited to see our baby girl in 3D, but when we got there the doctor at the hospital informed us she would not have her tech do a 3D because she didn’t find it necessary.

Yes, we drove out of our way to get something we could have gotten at our normal hospital, and I didn’t get to see my baby girl in 3D.  My doctor isn’t very happy either, but she said she knows she doesn’t always get what she requests from Anmed.

The good news is everything looks great, and the spine is developing correctly. The bad news is the ultrasound tech sucked majorly, and she gave us the most horrible ultrasound pictures I’ve seen yet.  They’re so blurry you can’t make out anything, and I’m not even going to bother uploading them.  I guess considering this wasn’t a routine ultrasound we can be grateful that’s the only bit of bad news!
